Message from the President
MFTP, May 2010 - Thursday, May 27, 2010
Hello Everyone,

We are almost to the month of June and the beginning of our peak season here at EACC.  With the recent weather, it already feels like the middle of July.  This is our first email of what will be many using a new email system that will enable us to provide even more communication on upcoming events as well as news from around the club.  I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather and the wonderful course here at EACC.  I know the Pro Shop, House Staff and Grounds Crew are all working hard to make sure every member is enjoying all of the areas of EACC.  Just a few updates for everyone:
  1. Membership currently stands at 221 Golfing Members.  We have had success with two open houses and we will continue with an additional open house in June.  We are driving activity as a result of the inserts in the East Aurora Advertiser and through our membership.  You will receive additional information about the June open house and I encourage you to contact Sam Queer with any questions or ideas concerning membership.

  2. Directory – the new directory was sent in the recent billing.  Along with some power interruptions, this delayed our mailing for the bill for this past month.

  3. Website – We continue to see tremendous usage of the site and additional enhancements are coming.  If you have any questions or if you would like to see additional features added, please contact Jeff Pappalardo.  We are looking for additional people to get involved and bring even more ideas to further the efforts on the website.

  4. Golf Carts – we have taken full delivery of the new golf carts and two new beverage carts.  The fleet was reduced from 55 golf carts down to 48 golf carts.  This has provided a savings for this year and maintained pricing for the next 4 years.

  5. Grounds Lease – the final steps are underway to complete the new grounds lease program.  Delivery is set to take place during this week and next for the new equipment.  The savings per month in payment is over $1000.  Also, because of the timing of delivery we are able to eliminate one payment in total for this year.  Further details will be sent in a separate email once this is finalized.
A number of members have gone out of their way to touch base with me to offer support and to comment on the positives they see happening with the club.  There are a number of individuals who consistently spend a great amount of their personal time in continuing to try and improve EACC for the benefit of the members and staff.  We all don’t lack for distractions that take us away from enjoying everything EACC has to offer.  But I can’t think of a better way to clear your head than to walk (or ride) along 17 and look back towards 10 fairway and think of any other place as beautiful.

Enjoy the holiday weekend and thank you for your continued support,

Pete Lyons
